Oracle VM VirtualBox is a free and open-source software for virtualization which supports the creation and management of guest virtual machines. It can be installed in any OS like, Windows and macOS. So VirtualBox allows you to install many operating systems virtually on your host operating system.

So now let's get started into some of the basics steps for installing VM Virtual Box.

Open up your browser and search “ VirtualBox” and click on the first search result.

or directly type https://www.virtualbox.org/ . So you will be able to see a window with various details about VirtualBox.

Clicking on the downloads option on the left you will you will see a download interface with options of your host.

I am installing it for Windows 10 so I will go with Windows Hosts. On clicking on the Windows host link you can see the download of this VirtualBox’s exe file has been started which is 103MB.

So now just click on this executable file, either by clicking Ctrl+j or by visiting the download section of your system. On clicking the executable file we get a pop-up.

Click on Next and proceed further.

On clicking next we get a popup that tells us about the location, where our VirtualBox will be installed. The location seems fine and hence we can proceed further by clicking Next.

The default settings are fine so we can go with them by clicking on Next.

From here we can proceed to installation by clicking Yes.

Just click on install.

The process of installation the VirtualBox has been started on your Windows operating system. You will get a message which will ask you to install some device-related software on your system, just click on install.

So our installation process is complete now and a VirtualBox icon is also created. Make sure that you mark this checkbox.

Horray!!! your machine is now ready for virtualization.
